Samantha “Sam” Chilvers is a Canadian contemporary artist whose life and practice are shaped by movement, curiosity, and a deep desire to spread positivity through art. Born and raised in Canada, Sam built her creative identity through years of hands-on exploration—painting, experimenting with materials, and developing a visual language centered on joy, colour, and emotional uplift.
In recent years, Sam has embraced a lifestyle that blends art with travel. She divides her time between Canada, Europe and the Caribbean, living everywhere from small Italian coastal towns to vibrant Dominican Republic communities. These environments—sunlight, ocean colours, old architecture, tropical nature—feed directly into her work and have shaped her into an artist who creates from real experience rather than from the studio alone.

Her days are a blend of sketching in cafés, exploring coastlines, learning languages, and immersing herself in local culture — all of which add depth and story to every piece she creates.
Today, Sam continues to grow her global body of work from wherever life takes her next, carrying her paints, her ideas, and her belief that art should make people feel alive, uplifted, and connected.
